The Case of the Nighttime Pacifier Launch

The Case of the Nighttime Pacifier Launch

Every morning it’s the same question: where did her pacifier go? My baby is 5 months old. At night, a pacifier helps her fall asleep. But at some point during the night, she takes it out of her mouth and then either throws it like Drake Maye, kicks it like Naomi Girma, or smacks it with the ferocity of a Morgan Geekie slap shot. Somehow, the pacifier ends up launched clear across the room.

So every morning it becomes a game where I have to figure out where she flung it off to. Usually I win and am able to find it, but some days the baby wins and the pacifier has been launched into some sort of black hole vortex—like Ren and Stimpy’s socks—never to be found again.
