MOC COORDINATED FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT is Starting a Play Group Pen Pals Program

The MOC COORDINATED FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT is Starting a Play Group Pen Pals Program .

In this program, children will get a pen pal in a different town in the state and exchange drawings and writings. Personally, I love this idea. For one things, it builds connections with other people while giving the children motivation to create letters and works of art for other people. But, I also think the concept of pen pals has another hidden virtue and that is teaching children patience which is hard to do in a society where modern technology allows to get so many things on demand. It also even serves as a lesson on how the mail system works. I hope other communities and organizations try similar programs.
