In a press release today, Cliff Chuang and Samantha Aigner-Treworgy were named Finalists For Massachusetts Early Education and Care Commissioner.

While not a reflection on either candidate, I am little disappointed that we are already down to two candidates without more opportunities for early educators to be part of the process. That being said, there is still time for early educators to be part of the final interview process which is something we have discussed on this page previously:

Currently, “The Board plans to interview the candidates at a public meeting next Tuesday, June 4, and could possibly vote to choose the next commissioner” but it does not appear that the public will get to ask questions directly.
