Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley Praises Children’s Librarians and Offers To Do Story-hour

First off, I love that Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley thanked a children’s librarian and offered to do a story hour. Second, when we talk about quality early childhood education, not nearly enough is made of the importance of children’s librarians. Children’s librarians help parents, teachers, and caretakers find qualify books to share with children and of course help children find good books too. In addition, libraries provide things like story hours and other fun events for young children and their families. As we stated earlier in the year, well funded public libraries  are essentially to quality early education and care.
